Roofing Before & After in Dallas, TX

We could tell you we do clean work, but frankly, every roofing company in Dallas says that. What actually helps a homeowner is seeing the difference between a roof that’s failing and the same roof after it’s been torn off, repaired properly, and reinstalled. These are the kind of transformations our crews handle week in and week out across Dallas neighborhoods like Lakewood, Preston Hollow, Oak Cliff, and Far North Dallas. The details matter up there, and the photos below show why.

Hail-Damaged Roof Replacement in Lake Highlands

BeforeBeforeAfterAfter

Hail stones the size of golf balls had peppered the west-facing slope, knocking off granules and leaving bruising you could feel with your hand. What the homeowner saw from the street was a roof that looked tired. What we found during our inspection was widespread denting across the decking and several soft spots where water had been getting in for months. We removed everything down to the plywood, replaced six sheets of compromised decking, installed new synthetic underlayment, and put on a full Owens Corning architectural shingle system. That roof went from granule-bare and bruised to a clean, uniform slope that should handle whatever the next Dallas spring storm throws at it.

Flashing Failure Repair in Preston Hollow

BeforeBeforeAfterAfter

The leak showed up as a brown stain spreading across the ceiling in a second-floor bedroom, right next to the chimney. Older flashing around a chimney is one of the most common failure points we see on Dallas homes built in the 1980s and 90s, because the original metal was never heavy enough for Texas temperature swings. We pulled the old rusted flashing, cut a proper reglet into the brick, and installed new copper step flashing and counter flashing, all sealed and water-tested. The ceiling stain stopped growing within a week. That’s the kind of repair that buys a roof another decade when it’s caught early.

Storm-Damaged Ridge and Vent Replacement in Oak Cliff

BeforeBeforeAfterAfter
Placeholder: Missing ridge caps and a cracked box vent before work (left), new ridge caps and impact-resistant vent after (right).

A straight-line wind event had peeled back several ridge caps and cracked two box vents, sending shingle pieces into the yard and leaving the attic exposed. The homeowner called us because a neighbor’s tree branch had also scraped a ten-foot section of the slope. We replaced the damaged shingles, tore off and reinstalled the ridge with new caps, swapped the vents for impact-rated units, and inspected every remaining shingle for hidden lifts. The before photo looks like the roof lost a fight with a storm. The after photo looks like a roof that was built to win the next one.

Water-Stained Ceiling and Underlayment Repair in Lakewood

We got a call in early March after a string of heavy spring rains. The homeowner had water dripping from a can light in the kitchen, which is never a good sign. When we opened up that section of the roof, we found the old felt paper had failed around a skylight and the plywood underneath was rotted enough to press a screwdriver through. Grant Whitlock walked through the issue with the homeowner before we started any work. We replaced the affected plywood, laid new synthetic underlayment, reinstalled all surrounding shingles to match the existing GAF product, and rebuilt the skylight flashing from scratch. Water stopped entering the house completely, and the kitchen ceiling got a fresh patch and paint.

Full Roof Installation After Decking Failure in Far North Dallas

This was a 1972 build where the original roof had been layered over once, and the second layer was the one failing. The decking in several spots had been wet for so long that the plywood delaminated in sheets when we started the tear-off. We replaced over 400 square feet of decking, added new drip edge, and installed a complete CertainTeed shingle system with proper ridge and soffit ventilation. The homeowner told us afterward that their upstairs bedrooms felt noticeably cooler the following summer. Proper ventilation isn’t a checkbox; it’s the difference between a roof that lasts fifteen years and one that gives out at ten.

Bioswale Runoff and Gutter Apron Repair in East Dallas

A homeowner near White Rock Lake had noticed water running down the siding during heavy rain instead of into the gutters. The shingles along the eaves had curled upward, and the old metal drip edge had rusted through in a dozen places. We cut back the bad shingle overhang, installed a new aluminum drip edge, sealed the connection, and touched up the fascia board underneath. Water now runs off the roof edge and into the gutters the way it’s supposed to. Small fix on the scale of a whole roof, yes, but it saved that homeowner from rot that would have meant replacing fascia boards, insulation, and part of the soffit.
