Meet the Dallas Team Behind Mercer Roofing Co Dallas

Roofing crews come and go in Dallas. Ours doesn’t. The Mercer Roofing Co Dallas team is built from people who’ve spent years on North Texas roofs, the ones who know what a July hailstorm does to a valley and what a February freeze does to flashing. Every technician you’ll meet below is background-checked, identity-verified, and arrives at your door in a clean, marked uniform with a photo ID badge. That’s the Threshold Standard, and it’s not negotiable. Grant Whitlock built this crew with one rule: if you wouldn’t badge in at your own mother’s door, you don’t badge in anywhere.

Our People

Marcus T. – Lead Technician

Marcus has been on Dallas roofs for nearly a decade, and he’s seen just about everything Texas weather can throw at a shingle. He’s our lead on complex repair jobs: chimney flashing that’s pulling away, decking that’s rotting under old underlayment, valleys that were never closed right in the first place. Marcus holds manufacturer certifications with GAF and CertainTeed, which means he can install their systems to spec and keep warranties intact. Off the clock, he’s rebuilding a 1968 Ford pickup in his garage, one panel at a time.

Elena R. – Senior Installer

Elena runs our full roof installation crews across Dallas, from Lake Highlands to Oak Cliff. She’s particular about the details most people never see from the ground: nail placement, underlayment laps, ridge vent alignment. Elena is certified with Owens Corning and Atlas, and she’s the person who walks the roof with homeowners at the end of a job to show them exactly what was done and why. She grew up in Mesquite and still makes her grandmother’s queso recipe for every team cookout.

Devon P. – Service Coordinator

Devon is the voice on the phone when you call Mercer Roofing Co Dallas. He’s been coordinating roofing work in the DFW metro for six years and keeps our schedules, permits, and material deliveries moving without drama. Devon knows every roofer on our crew, which means when you call with a question, you’re talking to someone who can actually answer it, not a call center reading from a script. He’s a father of two and a youth baseball coach in Garland, where he’s earned a reputation for being unreasonably competitive about tee-ball.

Sam W. – Apprentice Technician

Sam is the newest member of the crew, two years in, and he’s already earned his spot on repair jobs across Dallas. He works under Marcus and Elena, learning the trade the right way: the terminology, the safety protocols, the difference between a shingle that’s doing its job and one that’s about to quit. Sam is bilingual, which helps us walk Spanish-speaking homeowners through what’s happening on their roof without anything getting lost in translation. He’s also a competitive cyclist, which means he’s the first one up the ladder every morning and annoyingly cheerful about it.

One Standard, Every Job

Every Mercer Roofing Co Dallas location is independently owned and operated, but we’re all held to the same contract: the Threshold Verified standard. That means background checks and identity verification for every technician. Photo ID badges presented at the door. Clean, marked uniforms. A written price before any work starts, every time, no exceptions. Grant Whitlock doesn’t get to skip the standard and neither does anyone else. When a homeowner in Preston Hollow opens the door and sees a Mercer badge, they know exactly who’s standing there and what to expect. That’s the whole point. A roof is a big investment, and you deserve to know the person working above your ceilings. On every job, that person follows the same process, uses the same materials from GAF, CertainTeed, Owens Corning, IKO, Atlas, Tamko, or Boral, and answers to the same 365-Day Done Right Promise.

Who You’ll Actually Talk To

Here’s how it works when you call (432) 302-5605. A real person answers. Usually it’s Devon. You describe the problem: a leak after last week’s storm, shingles in the yard after that wind event, a spot on the ceiling you’ve been watching since spring. Devon puts you on the schedule with one of our technicians, and we send you their name and photo before they arrive. When the truck pulls up, the person at your door matches the photo we sent. They’ll be in a Mercer uniform with a photo ID. That’s the Threshold Standard in practice, and it’s why homeowners across Dallas trust us with their roofs.

If you need a roofer in Dallas who shows up badged, uniformed, and ready to give you a written price before anything starts, call (432) 302-5605. We’ll put a name and a face to the person who’ll be on your roof.
